Halloween IS fun!

Now that it's over I can say that.

It's messy, but fun and there are a lot of photo ops.

The kids loved carving pumpkins
Except Rasheeda, she didn't want to touch the stuff.
(Sammy sort of made her)

Just for fun I looked up the history of why we carve pumkins, (Jack-O-Lanterns) and if you're interested here's the link:
http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/pumpkins/history.html
There is a cute story about a guy named Jack (go figure!)

I just realized that most of us dressed up as ourselves for Halloween! How ironic. I went to Highschool in the 80's (yes, I'm old) so I felt right at home, Sammy is a basketball player (in real life), Trevor is a football player, Tanner is constantly getting hurt (by his big brother) Maya is THEE princess of the family, and Kayden, the 2 year old, is like an allegator, although I wish I had a Tasmanian Devil costume, that would've fit him better. Rasheeda was a butterfly (you can't see her wings) I don't know if that totally fits her but maybe.

Tanner had the best costume. Isn't it great?! That was a lot of fun and everyone loved it. Max VanNatter said "I would expect nothing less from a Romero!"
Another successful halloween.

Now, what to do with all that candy? This isn't even including the 3 big boys' candy bags, isn't it disgusting? We should figure out a better use for this candy other than rotting our children's teeth like fueling our cars!

Love the picture of the pumpkin hands that is so cool. Austin and Derrick want to know how Tanner's costume did that I told them it was boughten (is that a word by the way) they don't believe me they loved it. back to the word boughten Cy say's it's not a word like homemade boughtten icecream. Now that's funny I don't care who you are.

You look just like you did in High School. I should know, cuz I was there. You don't look a day older then 16. Tanner looks like he really got stabbed. Maya is a beautiful princess. Kayden is a cute little dinosaur. Trev and Sam look like super star athletes. And Sheeda looks like a Prom queen.

Rachel, boughtten IS a word in hickville, where we grew up!
Michelle, if only I could look as young as you, my OLDER sister, with 6 BIOLOGICAL children.
Kim, pumpkin guts don't have germs though, just slimmyness. YO! LOL

This is great! The part of Halloween where you carve pumpkins is OK. Its the costume finding mess that I don't like. Happy haunting!!

You guys looked awesome! Do what I do with the candy. Smell it, unwrap it, go over to the sink, turn on the water, turn on the disposal, and dump it. Very therapeutic!

Claire, I'm totally impressed with the work that you go to on Halloween. I think you should have dressed up though, lol! Ya, I agree with you Michelle, she looks exactly like I remember.

Sorry I somehow missed you yesterday. I saw your site and commented in my head because I wasn't signed in and thought I would come right back. This is the thought that was in my head: "I love your attention to detail--pants tucked into your socks, big earrings, side ponytail, polo shirt w/ collar up. It feels like it was just yesterday, it was just yesterday right?! You did a great job w/ everyone else too. You'll have to tell me how you got the knife to stick in Tanner like that.

I think I see that piece of candy from our house. It was F grade hard candy that Kepi bought. He thought everyone loves Jolly RAnchers like Mairi, so he bought the mixed hard candy. He still doesn't quite get the whole candy grading system yet.

I like your music, especially your first song." That was what my comment was supposed to say. Sorry it is belated but kudos on getting your family out to see your masterpiece!

Thanks for a great run today.

How did you get that picture to be so big? That is an awesome picture. I'll bet you had so much fun! Is there a place to comment? I couldn't find it so I just commented here. I thought I had sent you a comment on Fri. night, did you delete it?

Anyway, see ya in the mornin'
